On 17 April, 2008, An Post issued four stamps in its annual Ireland series to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Paul Henry, one of Ireland's most renowned artists.
The paintings featured on the stamps are West of Ireland Landscape (in private collection) and A Connemara Village (reproduced courtesy of National Gallery of Ireland).
The stamps and first day cover were designed by Ger Garland.
